Mowing your lawn correctly is a very important part of maintaining a healthy attractive lawn.
Make sure your mower blade is sharp! A dull blade will tear the grass instead of cutting it. Then the tips of the grass may turn gray/brown giving your lawn a bad appearance and leaving it more susceptible to insects and disease.
Try to mow when the grass is dry.
Remove approximately 1/3 of the grass per mowing.
Keep your lawn mowed height 2.5 to 3.5 inches. This will improve root development, help crowd out weeds, and give you an overall healthier and greener lawn.
